  • Screened rice varieties against sheath blight, blast, bacterial leaf blight and sheath rot diseases and potato germ plasm against late blight disease to identify resistant donors.
  • Bioefficacy and safety assessment of new fungicides, against vegetable diseases.
  • Identification of components like alternative chemicals of antibiotics, use of salicylic acid as pre-, co- and post-inoculation with bacterial pathogens of vegetables and antagonistic phylloplane bacteria to be incorporated in the package of practices of vegetables to thwart the attack of bacterial pathogens.
  • Developing talc based formulations of isolated and identified PGPRs like Bacillus subtilis and B. amyloliquefaciens for the management of wilt of tomato and leaf spot of cowpea.
  • Identification of novel source of resistance in chilli germplasm against anthracnose disease as well as to demarcate the variation of virulence of pathogen based on symptom variability.
  • Identification of Alternaria spp infecting tomato and cauliflower in Uttar Pradesh region using RAPD markers.
  • Identification and characterization of Xanthomonas campestris pv. viticola causing bacterial leaf spot of grapes.
